Last night's launch of the SN10, SpaceX's 10th prototype Starship rocket, was canceled once before it was successfully launched. Although launching immediately after a cancellation is a success in itself, the SN10 managed to make some complex movements in the air, reaching an altitude of 10 kilometers above Texas' Boca Chica.
The SN10 maneuvered accurately during its landing using the 4 aerodynamic wings and the three Raptor engines, to finally land vertically next to the launch pad for the first time since the failures of the SN8 and SN9. Somewhere there, SpaceX livestream ended.
However, NASAspaceflight livestream cameras were still recording when a few minutes later the SN10 exploded into a huge fireball.
The conditions of the explosion will be investigated, however the test is considered highly successful, since the SN10 has completed its mission.
